Optimizing an Automated Liquid Handler with Custom Glycerol Solutions Using the MVS® with ArtelWare® Software

The Multichannel Verification System (MVS) in conjunction with ArtelWare version 2.3 was employed to prepare MVS Custom Solutions, which are specialized test solutions chemically distinct from the commercially available MVS QualAssure Solutions.

These Custom Solutions enable testing volumes ranging from approximately 0.4–49.9 μL in 96-well plates and approximately 0.1–9.9 μL in 384-well plates. Custom Solutions with glycerol concentrations of 17%, 46%, and 68% v/v in water were prepared by combining glycerin, deionized water, and MVS Stock Solution 2, utilizing the Custom Solution liquid handler verification feature in ArtelWare.

These solutions were subsequently utilized to fine-tune liquid classes for 10 μL dispenses on an automated liquid handler (ALH) using the Dual-Dye Ratiometric Photometric Method provided by the MVS system.
