Simplify Long-term preservation of Milk Samples

Broad Spectrum Microtabs II (BSM) is an ideal preservative solution for longer-term preservation of milk samples when a short sample analysis turnaround time and refrigerated storage conditions cannot be guaranteed. It is a tablet preservative containing a combination of Bronopol and Natamycin which prevents bacteria and yeast and mold. It is used to preserve milk samples, which will be analyzed on infrared instruments.

Broad Spectrum Microtabs II is a quick-to-dispense sample that dissolves quickly and provides accuracy. It inhibits bacteria, yeast, and mold. It provides extended shelf life and reduces lipolysis in milk samples.

Milk Preservative Solution Overview

Value of Tablets

Milk samples should be tested immediately after they are taken, but in practice this can rarely be achieved. Our preservative solutions are relied upon to ensure sample integrity during transport from the dairy farm to the lab.

Longer Term Preservation

It is an ideal preservative solution for longer-term preservation of milk samples when a short sample analysis turnaround time and refrigerated storage conditions cannot be guaranteed. The tablet preservative inhibits the growth of both bacteria and yeast and mold.

 

Holding Conditions

Samples can be held at room temperature (22-25 ­­°C) for at least 14 days without sample degradation.

  • 18 mg tablet contains 8 mg Bronopol and 0.30 mg Natamycin
