Local students learn from Advanced Instruments' scientists on Maine Bioscience Day

Westbrook, Maine (November 20, 2024) – Wednesday was Bioscience Day in Maine, a statewide event that brings professional scientists and middle school students together to learn about science. Through hands-on learning, the Bioscience Association of Maine aims to get students excited about science.

Five laboratory scientists from Advanced Instruments’ Artel facility, located in Westbrook, Maine, participated by demonstrating how to measure and dispense liquids with a group of sixth graders at King Middle School in Portland, Maine.

The Advanced Insruments’ Artel portfolio was built on the foundation that accurate and precise pipetting is crucial, especially when it comes to laboratory workflows and the development of new products and vaccines.

Thousands of sixth-grade students across the state learned more about the field, and people who work for bioscience companies and research institutions visited more than 50 schools statewide.
